TREND ALERT! Marble: Still a Classy Classic

March 9, 2020

Marvelous metamorphic rock!

Our suppliers continue to consistently highlight a trend that’s been hanging around for a few years now: marble!

It’s not just for countertops and classical statues — and it’s not just for hard goods, either.

Marble, a metamorphic rock composed mostly of calcite or dolomite, has been a favorite material of sculptors and architects for millennia. Found nearly all over the world, it’s been in use since at least the mid-400s BCE, when the Parthenon was built in Athens, Greece. Marble can be found in a variety of colors, from the white marble used by the Greeks, for the Taj Mahal in India, and the Washington Monument in the U.S, to everything from pink to green to black, in various combinations and patterns. In recent years, marble has become the go-to for countertops and other interior home uses. It’s a symbol of luxury and taste, and it’s no surprise that it’s been so enduring a pattern in promotional products!

Although this lunch cooler and Sport Pack are technically described as “tie dye,” it’s easy to see why they are included in the supplier’s marble trend collection.

Meanwhile, the Peristyle Bottle and Viking® Nova Tumbler are the epitome of chic in drinkware. The marble look nicely sets off a vibrant logo.
