Flu season will strike this fall… that we are sure of.  In addition to seasonal flu viruses, it is very likely that the 2009 H1N1 flu virus will circulate in our communities. We can’t stop the flu from coming, but what we can do is make an effort to protect and prevent our families and our communities from contracting and spreading flu viruses. In a study of U.S. recessions, McGraw-Hill Research analyzed 600 companies from 1980-1985. The results showed that business-to-business firms that maintained or increased their promotion expenditures during the 1981-1982 recession averaged significantly higher sales growth, both during the recession and for the following three years, than those that eliminated or decreased promoting.
